I have an MC200 500 GB model and would like to upgrade my capacity with a NAS from QNAP 451.
I have read in the Wiki that Sooloos systems only support a QNAP with Intel CPU.
Before buying the QNAP 451 I would like to be sure it is compatible with the Sooloss system?
Hope any one can help.
Cheers Jack

The original spec CPU required to support the QNAP plugin was the Intel Atom, it also works on the i3 based TS-870 so it seems more than likely that it will work on the Celeron based TS-451, if you go ahead it would be good if you could update us.
I will wait to buy until I know for certain it will work with the Sooloos system.

I have made contact with Meridian. They answered it would probably work with an QNAP 451 (Intel processor). They could not confirm it. I think it a bid odd Meridian do not test the compatibility with NAS-servers from QNAP and make a list of products that are compatible with their products.
As far as I can tell the QNAP 451 is none of these models mentioned.
It is only a couble of months old. Maybe the post you have copied the text from is older than the QNAP 451.

I meant. If the text you have copied from, is older than the release date of QNAP 451. It will not be mentioned in the post you copied from.

Meridian streaming systems can now take advantage of the flexibility and reliability of a range of QNAP network-attached storage (NAS) systems. QNAP storage systems that use x86 CPUs are compatible with Meridian systems, with the addition of QPKG software for QNAP systems provided by Meridian. In addition, your Meridian streaming system needs to be running software v2.359 or higher.
These series are supported: TS-x69L Series ( We use the TS669L in our demo) TS-x51 Series TS-x70 Pro Series
All the best

Seems to suggest that a 451 will work.
Also noticed that the QNAP user guide linked above mentions that "Models using x86 compatible CPUs" are OK. I think that covers most if not all Intel processors.
