I was wondering what the lowest cost rears would be to add to my 8000.2 fronts. Bear in mind I live in India and not very easy to buy from the Restaurant.

I would like something that can be hung from the ceiling (or the wall close to ceiling) angled downwards and which is adequate to handle the mids and highs.

The 3200 seems obvious to me. Is there anything related to voice matching that I need to be concerned about with movies? I am guessing the rear info is just for ambience and to provide the enveloping feel, so any speaker should do.

I have been suggested the In Walls but they are expensive for a peripheral need.

Regards,

Shankar

M6s have a very small footprint, a nice low tweeter height, SpeakerLink, EBA and an open sound. They have good bass so you could try setting them as large.

Plus they'd look like stalactites if you want to really create a man-cave!

I think you mean stalagmites, unless you really plan to stick them on the ceiling? smile

Maybe it is a Dolby Atmos install?

For that you could probably get away with M80s stuck to the ceiling.

Seriously, I think the M6s would make excellent rear speakers in a HT system. I think I would raise themn a few inches using marble slabs though. The only Q is how good is the tonal matching of the higher end (if the OP ever wanted to listen to MC music)?

I used 3200's as rears with 8k's and they were a good combination.

DSP3100 are excelent match with my DSP5200, but old no EBA and no SpeakerLink.

If M jumps on the Atmos system, it would be logical they bring a ceiling speaker that is not too large I think.

Thanks all. I did consider the M6 stalactite but at over 3 feet it would be a BIG one!

I guess 3200 or a non M speaker.

The latest DSP3200 fw enables their integration into an EBA setup, so it would fit your existing setup.
