I noticed a bunch of 861v4 with LPS, health check and new 5 yr warranty are up for sale right now. I have a couple of questions.
Is there way to tell from serial numbers whether the C000 card is an older version that would require the extra wire modification to accommodate an ID40 card?
If you do the mod to the C000 card DIY and or install an ID40 card DIY what happens to the new 5 yr warranty? Is it voided completely or is everything still covered except the DIY modifications?

Since the mod to the card is necessary I cannot see how it would affect the warranty.
If buying 2nd hand from a dealer then I would see if the dealer can do it.
If not, others reported it was not a big job to do.
