You register with Meridian I. Think? It's in the settings section though. Have a rummage.
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone
It is registered with M but I don't fully understand how a specific update message (as opposed to a blanket update message to all Sooloos users) can be sent to my system unless M know that it is my specific system that needs the update. AFAIK the only knowledge they have of this problem is via the forum.
Maybe their interrogation software can work out that I need a specific update but I still don't really understand what that update is in this case, as I routinely update whenever I get an update message. My versions are shown earlier in this post via a screen shot - all 2.406 apart from the Qnap Store at 2.359 - ie as installed.
Carl, how do I go through the support channel?

I've been working on this problem today and it seems that having the QNAP on a lower version to the rest of the Meridian system will result in the problems you've experienced. Further investigation is required to find a method to update the QNAP to the current 2.406 Sooloos version on your system. - just a thought, have you tried updating the App within the QNAP app centre?
The Meridian website is showing the latest version of the QNAP app as 2.359. This is the one I downloaded last week and installed in the QNAP app centre. Is there a later version I am missing?

No, that's the base version as it comes there is no alternative version. Further firmware updates are applied to your Meridian system via the internet, thus the need to find out why your QNAP isn't able to request a firmware update to the same version as the rest of your Meridian system.
Okay, I wasn't aware it worked that way. Is there a way to manually request an update from within the QNAP menu system? Would it help if I PM'd you my contact details?

Is there a way to manually request an update from within the QNAP menu system?
I don't think there is unless (according to the QNAP manual) there is an orange "update" button to the right of the green "on" button on the app center page. See image below - I don't have this on my system.
Are other QNAP users seeing 2.406 under the Sooloos app on the QNAP app center? Likewise can any other QNAP user confirm that they have version 2.406 (as opposed to 2.359) appearing on a C10/C15 system settings page?
Is there any merit in trying to set up the Meridian app on the other QNAP 809 unit I have?
