A pair of compact analog active loudspeakers for the desktop would be nice, or perhaps a compact stereo power amp with the same footprint as the headphone amp/DAC, for those who prefer passive loudspeakers.

Disappointed it's not a stand alone Sooloos endpoint.

Yes I can connect it to an MSx00 unit but now I am paying for DAC's I don't need.

Hi,

Yes I could, but by that I can only listen to CDs and not enjoy the fantastic comfort of the C15.

Not true, as far as I understand.

With Control:PC/Mac running, and the Prime plugged into the computer with USB, Control:PC/Mac will appear as a zone (or two) in the iPad app. I assume it's the same with the Control:15.

So you can sit with your Prime and your Control:15 and enjoy your Sooloos system to the full, with apodizing from the Prime and the full control interface of the Control:15.

(If you want the Prime some distance away from the computer you may need some messing with USB cables and hubs, but Joel's suggestion of a 200 PC would solve that problem quite easily as well.)

Alternatively, just plug the analogue L/R output of the C15 into the Prime. That won't be as good as an MS200 I expect but it will work.

Er Nick, does the C15 have analogue outputs? I can't see them on the photo of a C15 on Dunc's site.

My C10 does... I assume they work. I'll check later.

Hi,

These are actually Audio In's on the C10 however during production they were originally connected to the analogue output.

Its not a supported audio source, and to be honest the audio was a direct feed from the motherboard, which could have issues like clicks and pops as the software did not have any control over how the output was being fed.

It is not a supported method of connection.

Also on further firmware builds the feature may get turned off altogether.

The C15 did not have these connectors as any feature that would require them was not moved forward.

Regards
Edd

Hi Arnold - my mistake, I overlooked the detail. I assume your G08.2 and Control:15 are connected directly to your DSP5200?

You could add an additional zone in the form of a MS200 or MS600, this in turn could drive another system and/or Prime for headphone listening.

Chris

Edd, thanks for clarifying. IIRC I did once connect my C10 to M80 analogue. I didn't think much of it.
SBT was easily better
MS200 better still.

Nick
