Hello,
In the software I can't find any possibility to influence the music.
I thought we can e.g. de-activate the apodizing filter...

You can via the setup software, you restrict the up sampling rate. I have to do this in my main room as my stuff is not 96 KHz capable. Chris

Could you expand upon your answer a bit. Where and what set-up software? I haven't come across the need to adjust the parameters since the system plays my files up to 24/192 by automatically dropping them down. I just want to understand the system better.

Up to now I have only used Control:PC, is there other available?

You should have a Sooloos configure program which allows you to adjust output, comms integration, turn on or off storage etc Chris

You need 'force 1x sample rate' enabled.
When upsampling, a filter of some sort is needed. With most modern M equipment, that is an apodising filter. You cannot have upsampling without this apodising filter.

And this for sure disables apodizing for the analog outs?

I would imagine it only limits the digital output to accommodate people like me who are not 96/24 compatible (in my main system). I see no reason why they would cripple the analog output by not using their very best processing before the DAC. If someone doesn't like it, so be it. Just thoughts, Chris

Hi Flo, I believe it only affects the digital output. On my MS600 using the "direct" setting to bypass the upsampling and apodizing filter changes the sound when using the analogue out from the MS600. So with the MS600 at least, I assume the change in settings happens upstream of both the internal DAC and digital output. Not sure if it's the same case with the MC200, though.
