I believe I saw a workaround for this bug... Suggestions?
When the system identifies a "work" from a common part of track titles, individual tracks afterwards are erroneously grouped under this work until the next work appears.
How do I work around this?

A work can be forced by adding a chosen work title followed by a / or @ plus other symbols and leaving no space between the symbol and the start of track name. Look carefully at your metadata and try adding an extra space to break the above rule. Just a thought Wiki link sub headings Chris

Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

As I have reported many times, this is a bug in the iPad app for which I have found no workaround.
Please report it to your dealer, as I did, with screen-shots.
(I don't know for sure if the bug is present with Control units.)
Chris - your tips about works doesn't help with this. "Hanging" single-track works are always grouped with the previous multi-track work - both visually and when selecting "play work" for the multi-track work before the single-track work(s).

Yes, Ludwig, that is the bug I was talking about.
I went and checked on the Control:10 and it is correct there (and by implication on the server), the bug is only on the iPad. (Funny I hadn't noticed that, I put away the big and clunky C10 when I got the iPad control app...)

Could you please post a screen shot?
And also confirm that on a control if you select Play Work for the preceding multitrack work, the hanging single-track work will not also be queued?

Do you know how to do a screen shot on the C10?
I can do it on the iPad and C:PC.

I can't figure out how to enable HTML in this edit field, or how to insert pictures. And I don't feel like investigating right now.
But here is the behavior: Control:PC just shows tracks, is not aware of "works". Control:10 shows the correct works: the first three tracks are part of a work, then come three orphan tracks, then a work again with three tracks.
The iPad Core Control app shows the initial work as including the three orphan tracks, even though the name pattern does not match.
With regard to playing, each control is correct according to its perspective: selecting the work in Control:10 plays only the first three tracks, selecting the work in the iPad Core Control plays the six tracks that it erroneously thinks is part of the work.
