Hi All,
Without getting into the long story as to why, the ribbon cable which connect my DSP8000 to it's back panel ripped. Fortunately, this doesn't effect audio. However, I would obviously like to fix it.
In order to do so, all I thought I had to do was replace the IDC 2x5 pin connector. I tried that and can't get it to work.
Basically, the IDC has 10 pins, and the ribbon cable has 9 wires. I lined it up with the ground on the connector and cable, and I have the empty pin adjacent to the ground, but it doesn't work.
Is this right? Should the empty pin be adjacent to the non ground end wire? Does Meridian have a non-standard 2x5 connector?
While I fortunately don't have to interrupt the use of my system, this prevents me from retyping the speaker, or troubleshooting if something occurs. Also it looks nicer.
Any suggestions?

Hi
Couldn't you just look at the other speaker?
