How long does it normally take to get the Speakers.

I have been waiting for 3 weeks for 5500's and 5500HC in Black Laquer. and over 2 weeks for the 861!!

Still being told the dealer doesnt know when they will arrive, maybe next week, but we were told that last week!!

Welcome to the club. What's probably happening is MofA is out of 861's and DSP5500's so they are waiting for them to cross the pond which can take several weeks.

I waited approximately 5 weeks for my DSP 5500 center. You just have to learn to be real patient when it comes to Meridian. They don't do anything fast.

I got my 5500HC in 3 days back in August. I believe it was shipped from Altlanta.

it doesn't take that long to get an 861 from UK to Atlanta to your dealer.

i don't think any US dealer really stocks them - they get built to order in UK (or Atlanta?).

your dealer should be able to get a straight answer on what the story is, which it sounds like he is not. that's odd.

i've bought a number of items over the years that had to come from Atlanta and/or UK and my dealer always could get the general scoop on what was what. maybe not down to the DAY but certainly not week-to-week stuff like you're getting.

I waited about 8 weeks to get my 861 in 1999.

when I ordered the dsp8000s, I waited about 2 weeks. my theory on the speakers is that someone else backed away from the order and I was in the right place at the right time. have patience, the good stuff is coming.
