What is the best way to connect an MS200 to Mk1 D5ks so that the comms etc. all work properly. I do have a spare AC12 would that do? i.e. MS200->SL->AC12->SPDIF/Comms->master D5K or are there better options?

Thanks

Graham

If you already have one that is an official and easy option. (You know of course that you'll have to turn off upsampling if your Mk1s aren't upgraded to 24/96?)

Or you could sell the AC12 and get a short SL-COMMS lead, then plug into that and the MC200's SPDIF out. Saving yourself a few bob in the process.

Hi,

It's easy to do, but the query was about connecting a MS200 rather than a MC200.

Sorry, misread. Answer's still essentially the same.

Yes an AC12 will do it fine.

The other answer is also true, but you'd need an Optical to SPDIF converter for the audio side.

Personally I'd do the former, simpler and tidier and doesn't need an extra power source.
