I can't get my DSP5500's to respond to remote to change boundry set up - they are hooked up to 568.2mm. The center is the master and they are hooked up without a 511 . The speakers do not respond to any remote commands. The 568 operates settings if I push function e,w,n,s. I tried disconnecting comms. The master did respond to remote when I went into config (power-"0") some how I've set the speakers to not accept remote commands - any advice would be welcomed (3 sessions of frustration).

Thanks,
Scott

Hello.

I had the same problem. I had the 568.2 explicitly set as Controller, and the DSP5500's explicitly set as Not Controller.

I cured it by putting the DSP5500's into config mode and setting controller as Automatic (I think it's called that). In this state, the 568.2 and 5500's negotiate to decide who is controller and the 568.2 wins which is good for normal day to day operation.

But when you want to fiddle with the settings on the 5500's, turn off the 568.2 and power cycle the 5500's, cause with the 568.2 turned off, then the 5500's decide to be controller when you turn them on and will then respond to the infra red remote.

In any case, my 5500's were unresponsive (except for config and volume control) as long as I had them set explicitly to Not Controller.

Regards,
Shaun

That was it. I had to retype speaker and turn off 568. All is good now, the speakers are in bookshelves and they were a little boomy much better now.

Thanks for the help.
