Chris, presumably, you are happy though for them to email you with queries which you can deal with when time allows?

I think that Meridian also wanted to encourage more customer contact with dealers to help them generate business. As long as queries get passed up the line and are dealt with efficiently then it should not be a problem. I would rather Meridian spent time working on products than answering simple questions that a dealer should be able to cope with. For more serious issues then a prompt and accurate response is called for.

It was actually a road bike. Evans stepped in and acted as an intermediary which was very nice of them.
It took so long to sort out that in the end I bought some Easton replacements!

Cheers

Many thanks to Chris JC for helping me. I found a laser on eBay that seem legit.

It was no problem at all contacting Ljudtema in Sweden. But when I wanted further contact I met a dead end. I still think it is strange that Meridian dont have spare parts for a player like 508.24. Its not that old.

It makes me think twice when I think about buying more products from Meridian. But I suppose I will buy that MC200 anyway.

I suppose the number they can buy and warehouse is not unlimited, and after that they depend on suppliers. This must be the case with many audio companies.

Hi

Many hifi producers are in the hands of other producers and so on. This is not just a problem for M but for all companys that buy parts from another producer.

Happy holidays to all of you. smile

Hi

Maybe we should adopt a "non buying policy" as long as M adopts its "non response policy".

Regards Per Nilsson

Ask a question via your dealer and they will respond.

I am essentially a freelancer. I employ several managers around the world who communicate with lots of promoters and then directly with me. If a promoter emails me directly I just forward it to the relevant manager. It's better that way, actually for everyone.

I simply don't have time to do it any other way. Same with M.

We have debated this before when the new policy was introduced.

And we're all still here, the world hasn't ended and it brought people like Rick to the forum which has clearly been a very good thing.

Within a distance of about 80 miles from me the Meridian website lists 9 premium partners. Only one posts on here from time to time.
