Hi, I bought a Meridian 568.2mm (I use it with NAD T955), before I had an Arcam AVR600. With the Arcam I never passed 65 volume level (on 99 scale). With Meridian to obtain the same level pressure I must use 70-75 volume level (maybe 80 with old movies).
I know that Meridian use digital volume, instead analog on Arcam, that has a loss of resolution with low level. My question is that it's normal use this level or my processor has a problem?

I set up my SPLs a little above the recommended 75dB and listen to CDs at about 65-67. Films need 72-75 on the volume in a reasonable sized room.
Hope this helps.

Were both processors calibrated to 75db?

Don't worry about it; as long as you can get enough volume, the higher the output the better; S/N ratio will be better.
As you have an analogue system, the numbers won't really mean anything.
All the best,
Steve.
