I have twice used the Meridian Web site forms for registration of my Meridian product, and the the CONTACT form asking about how to purchase a new box. I have not heard back from Meridian.

First: To register my G61 went to the registration page, filled out the information. After filling it out, the site said "The Meridian Team" (or something like that) will contact you shortly.

Second: I sent an inquiry on how to purchase another box for the G61 as the one sent with my purchase was barely holding together (it would not sustain another shipment).

Will I hear back from Meridian about my Registration, or does the site just confirm you sent in the Registration? I registered my G61 around the end of September, so it has been a month or longer.

I have not heard anything back about a new box. This was about 3 weeks ago. Should I try to call on the Telephone or go to my local dealer asking for a new box?

Meridian prefer you to contact via a dealer for such things afaik.
There are some great dealers on this site who may be able to advise you as well.
Cheers, Chris smile

You are unlikely to hear back from Meridian on either count.

Contact your dealer about getting a new box. Be prepared to pay out the wazoo.

Being new to Meridian, I had/have no idea on time frames, best way to contact, etc. I am not worried that Meridian does not know about my purchase, just how things operate. Thanks for the info.

For a new box I would first want to know the cost, and if it is "out the wazoo" then I would probably pass. How much can a box cost?

We recently learned that a box for the small MC200 costs $200.

Replacement boxes for DSP5500s were $1000 several years ago! The prices for Meridian cardboard are expensive- FYI!

When I receive my used DSP8000s next week, which come in the former owners anniversary system boxes, I will then own boxes for 8000s, 6000s, a trio of 5500s, 2 processors and Sooloos gear. I can hear the insurance company adjuster after the fire - "yeah right"! Don't know which would be funnier, that or the reaction to a call to itemize them on the homeowners insurance. Having just suffered a lightning strike they were aghast when they learned my G61R cost $7,500 new. The repair was only $540 they will be happy to know. Inquired about the health check, and could not slide the repair under that.
