Hi, yesterday I recieved a 568 processor. I tried to configure it with legacy program but I don't understand how the speaker size parameter works. I must leave max value? I used the calc program (I have two 6 inch woofers) and value that it suggest is 13 (bit low?).

Thanks,
Andrea

For a DSP speaker setup you can leave it on max.

For an analogue speaker system, it's only relevant for speakers designated as 'large' in your setup. Since the 'size' setting is a form of bass compression, personally I don't use it for music it and try to be sensible with the volume control. For movies, I use a cross-over on all my speaker and send the bass to my sub.

Edit: I think the only circunmtances in which I would use a size setting (which is for speaker protection from damaging bass) is using my system for movie listening without a sub.

Ok.

Another question, in preset mode THX, Cinema and Discrete, I see LFE -10db. Means that the 568 apply +10dB on LFE channel?

Thanks,
Andrea

IIRC Discrete DSP for music listening has the LFE reduced by 10db but not Cinema/THX modes

Cinema and THX modes will correctly boost (by default) the LFE channel by 10dB, though that may not be what is actually displayed (for license reasons).

As Cliff says, the boost is not applied to the LFE channel in the Discrete preset.
