Thanks Ian,I think alota people have lost the plot on this one,I am going for a two month old 568.2mm for under half the price, and I am going to try and steal a 598 for around a couple of grand, cant be bad no mater how you slice it.I would still like to hear any further input as to how the 568 will improve the situ at present, I mean will the 568 instead of the 561 improve the sound even using the 596,and running the 55ks??? In other just removing the 561 from the equation!

Hi James,

I trust you are enjoying the 55's.

I'd say that if you are getting a good deal on a 598 with MHR link, then you will be delighted with what it can do with your 568.2 and 55's.

The 568.1 and .2 will upsample your CD's into your 55's. This is quite a worthwhile addition...especially at the good price you got.

I know you went to the trouble of doing a demo for the 55's. I still suggest doing a demo with the 568/598 combo, but, have the cash ready as you'll want to be on that ferry with two boxes !!

bets rgds

I changed from 561 to 568 and there is a significant improvement in sonic results. In particular, the hum and noise is much lower on the 568 for analogue users. This may not be an issue for you with digital speakers.
