I'm either having a brain fart or its just a limitation of focus/swim.

I was trying to set up a focus that allowed swim to play only pick tracks from album picks. But I've come to the (probably obvious) conclusion that focus is album based only and that this swim cannot be done.

Best I found is swim all picked albums hoping that it would concentrate on pick tracks only, but unless swim has reset itself, I am getting non picked tracks being queued even though Sooloos has all the information needed for this swim available to it.

Any suggestions?

If you toggle a track pick from dark star through gold star to X that track will only play if you actually select it and will never be played when 'swimming'.

Along the same lines I find my swims have a tendency to repeat many tracks over time but never play certain tracks ever even though they are not X'd out. I think what it is doing is swimming track picks more than non-track picks (can't confirm that) but I would rather it swims all tracks equally.

Is there a way to globally change that without having to plow through 1600 CD's to do it manually (ie remove the track pick designation from albums)?

Since posting, I can confirm that non pick tracks are included in swim. Whether there is any bias towards pick tracks I don't know, but when I did a test of what was being queued based upon a swim of all pick albums, there was still a significant number of non pick tracks queued.

It is noted that pick tracks are used on a biased basis in advanced user guide.

That explains my experience so I guess in order to remove the bias I would have to go untag the picks. Way too much work for me.
