I was looking through the owners manual for the Power Plant and came across a warning. It said consult your Dealer or the Manufacture of your equipment before using the CleanWave to degauss your eqiupment.

So why make the the CleanWave button the largest one on the remote making it easy to press by mistake?!

Has any one had problems or do they know if it's safe to use on Meridian gear?

I had a PPP and used the clean wave function.
As my equipment is always on in standby, I did not used that function very often. The main purpose is to use that function when the audio gear get fresh powered up via the main switch.

I used that on my 861v4 and the 800v3 but not on my speakers.

You should use the MW function and listen to the slightly sound difference.

+1

No problems with M equipment with my PPP.

The only 'funny' thing I noticed using the CleanWave function is a bit of tweeter noise coming from speakers (4 back monitors) connected to my multich Parasound power amp.

Regards!

You should use that maybe once in a month or when you have problems like humming transformer.
When saturation of the iron components in coils, transformer appear, that could help.
It could be also dangerous, as that generate a slowly(4 sec) growing sine wave instead the standard power "stable" sinewave. My friend have analogue stuff and have no problems, but it could happen maybe on bad designed power supplies.

Sorry my comment above the sound was an error.
The clean function makes no differences for me, i dit have the"MW" (multiwave) function in my mind. Its a different purpose, it makes the sine shape of the main power a little more "round" on the shoulders. When that fuction is on, the sound changes a little, but it is strongly depending on your equipment.
