Dear Hitchhikers,

My 568.2mm has started misbehaving. On Stereo and Direct the sound is normal, however, on most of the multi-channel DSP presets e.g. Trifield, Prologic etc. the right rear emits a distorted and relatively high level version of what's coming out the fronts (or centre? maybe). Re-configuring has no effect.

Would I be right in assuming this is some sort of cross-talk problem with the centre/sub channel "leaking" on to the rear channels? Any advice welcome.

Thanks Graham

Well direct would be the 5ks only playing.

So when you switch to Trifield, Cinema, PL2, Movie, ... you would expect the rears to output something.

It's impossible for a digital signal to pick up cross talk. So my opinion is that one of your DSP33's is not responding to comms and is outputting at a fixed volume.

But I have had a few fizzy wines today so may have miss read your post!

Chris,

Yes, That could be it - I've reseated all the comms cables, and done a calibrate and so far it's behaving itself - fingers crossed.

Thanks,
Graham

Also rear sound on say Trifield can sound a bit strange. If it's at a fixed high volume it would sound even more strange laugh .
