Hi all
I've just discovered that I can't run an incremental backup in ControlMac. Whenever I navigate to my backup folder and click backup, ControlMac just crashes instantly and shuts down. I have reset both my Mac, NAS and MD600 but nothing seems to work.
Anyone else experiencing this problem or have any suggestions on how to fix?
Thanks Brian

Hi,
Have you tried uninstalling Control:Mac and then reinstalling from Control:Web (Point your browser to the IP address of your core device to display Control:Web).

Hi Ian - good to know your system is tickety-boo! Looks like I can backup to a new folder - it will take a couple of days to do so it's a real pain. Strange bug in new version of ControlMac it seems. Thanks all Brian

Strange bug in new version of Control:Mac it seems. I don't think we can conclude it's a bug in Control:Mac from one isolated issue, it could be down to other factors like for example a corrupted backup folder. I think more users would be reporting problems if it was a bug. That said, even with say a corrupted backup folder Control:Mac should not just crash it should report an error message to the user. I have found Control:Mac to be less than robust when with dealing with some network issues, resulting with a sudden app exit. Changing from wireless to wired for example causes Control:Mac to exit.
Have you tried this with a wired network connection?

Carl - yes granted I was quick to jump to a conclusion there. I suppose as it only appears to have happened after the upgrade I assumed that must have been the case.
Ian - unfortunately due to the location of my Mac (desktop) it's a real pain to feed a wire through to it so haven't tried wired. I've started the new backup now so may try it a later date if I have this problem again.
