I have some damage on my 861's front that needs repainting. I know black is not really just black. It comes in different flavours.
Anyone know what kind of black aerosol paint that would match the factory colors?

All Meridian's lacquer-finished DSP loudspeakers and 800 Series components are available as standard in High Gloss Graphite, Silver or Black.
High Gloss Black approximates to RAL 9005, Jet Black

I would imagine that you wild also need a primer for the aluminium. And if you want a car type finish, then a lacquer too. Remember to get a good finish on the bare metal before priming. /Marcus

Etch primers are used on aluminium alloys, but they are not nice

This finish looks to me like a black epoxy powder coated finish. Locate one of the larger powder coating shops in your city. They will have a larger chip selection of in stock powders. Bring the piece in question to them, they may have a color chip that would match. They will then bake off the old finish and coat it again. You will need to pay their minimum charge...maybe $50.00 - $100.00 but it will look like new again. If you want to do this on the cheap, you could also pickup a can of automotive bumper touch up paint and give this a try.

Marcus, The etch primers are very hazardous and you need good protection (assuming diy).

I'm just responding to the OP's question. Perhaps you could be a little more constructive and do the same.
