Greetings,

I am a newbie to M unplugged and ask your forbearance if my questions have already been answered elsewhere. M unplugged is a valuable source of info for me but I haven't learned my way around yet.

I purchased a used Media Core 200 and have been using the ControlPC function to date. I recently bought an iPad2 and am now using the Core iPad app to select music.

Two questions please:

1) Is there a downloadable users guide for the Core iPad app? While it is reasonably intuitive to use, I'm certain there are many features that I am not using that would enhance the interface experience.

2) How does one change the "sort or display" order of composers. Example" my ControlPC app (and core iPad app) displays as follows: "Ludwig Van Beethoven, I would like to change it to display "Beethoven, Ludwig Van". I for one can't be the only person who has trouble remembering the first name of classical composers.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, Welcome. You need to download the Sooloos advanced user guide from Meridians site or Duncan's info site. Store it in the iBooks app and spend time on it.

All your questions will be there.

Thank you Chris for your advice. I previously downloaded and read the advanced user guide and didn't see any options to change sort order in the Control:PC application. Theres a lot of info in the advanced guide so perhaps I missed it.

I don't currently see any specific guide for the Core iPad app on Meridians website. If you know of such, please point me in the right direction.

Hi Chris,

Whilst this is possible for Artist Edward was asking about Composers. Unfortunatly the only way that I know of, would involve manualy renaming all the Composers and then maintaining this 'non-standard' list each time a new album was imported / ripped.

As I suggested to another HH a few months ago, the editing of artist name can be done very quickly as the artist list is active as you type so only a couple of keys required to do it. Adding composer as tag is also very quick to do via multi album edit.
