+1 for respect/appreciation of the work of the moderators and the maintenance of a civil port in a sea less calm.
+1 for recombining Meridian and Sooloos sub-forums.
+1 for censorship discomfort.

Not sure where the music etc. stickies went (will search). Something with more of a database structure would be helpful (but probably too much of a maintenance headache).

Cheers, Ian

Hi, long time no speak (well post).

Dependent on content either in the 'HiFi Chat' as a new thread or possible in the existing 'Recommended Music' thread.

Carl

Ok. It's going to be a scientific article.

Nice chatting with you. It's been a long time. I think we may have met up years ago elsewhere in the NET. grin

Hi all,

Just in case you have not spotted it yet, we have a new discussion forum section:

Meridian - Automotive

I've moved over the existing threads but if I've missed any do drop me a PM.

Regards,
Carl

Hi all,

There has been a slight change in forum names, descriptions and short cuts to reflect the move from Sooloos to Meridian - Digital Media Systems (MDMS) and also to accommodate the new Meridian - HP Connected software.

Going forwards, if there is a lot of interest in HP Connected then we would consider creating a new forum to house the threads.

Regards,
Carl

According to Meridian staff, there is no MDMS acronym for Meridian Digital Media Systems.

Well we can invent one if we want. Acronyms aren't exactly trademarks.

Do you have a counter-suggestion?

Surely it would be better if M fixed elements that are broken rather than rebranding elements that are established and accepted.

However, we could go for just 'Media Systems' as you suggest, as the actual forum name and description are explicit. I just hope that folk read them and don't now start posting about 3rd party systems in there.

I also thought of just having one Meridian short cut, that would display a list of sub-forums (like the Restaurant shortcut does), but for now at least chose not go down that route.

Carl
