Don't think we can view this from the UK. You might be able to get to it through an anoymous proxy. But be careful some of them are loaded with viruses. If I ever need one I try to find positive references (typically on forums).

George, I have never tried that. Where do you find these reverse proxy servers?

George, I have never tried that. Where do you find these reverse proxy servers? Where do find anything on the internet? Google. They are constantly changing. Here is an example, I have no idea how safe this site is, or if it will work. But I have successfully used Anymous Proxies for other purposes before. http://www.proxz.com/proxy_list_anonymous_us_0.html

For those of us outside the US, I think "This American Life" is available as a podcast on iTunes.

Worth a look Ronnie, I tried searching to find a homepage for SmartDNS but was unable to find anything useful...can you please post the URL... Took a look at Overplay.NET but would prefer something like SmartDNS as it would apply to ALL devices... Thanks,

Sorry Joel, I wasn't clear............SmartDNS is just another feature of the overall Service from Overplay for the same monthly charge I can't provide a direct link, as the info page is behind my "account" page.......but the quote below gives you a flavour Essentially you can set a DNS on your Home Router (or your PC)..........which then allows easy access to otherwise restricted services Examples would be access to BBC iPlayer, ABC Player, Netflix, MOG etc., etc. from wherever you happen to be in the world..............without needing to use VPN Encryption OverPlay SmartDNS Posted on October 3, 2011 by admin Not happy with just providing the finest VPN service on the planet, we are today pleased to introduce OverPlays latest breathtaking service SmartDNS! By enabling the SmartDNS service on your OverPlay account (visit the My Account area of our website, and choose the Server Details tab) and then performing the incredibly simple configuration change, youll instantly enable access to websites currently blocked at your office, school, or location. With no software to install, it even works on connected devices iPads, AppleTVs, roku or BoxeeBox the list is endless! Furthermore, if you make the simple configuration change on your local router, youll even benefit from the SmartDNS service on your entire network. Please note that this service differs from our standard offering in a few ways. Firstly, this isnt a VPN! It doesnt encrypt traffic, everything still goes via your ISP. Dont use this service if you need the extra safety provided by the VPN! Second, unlike the VPN service, the supported websites are whitelisted obscure sites may not yet be supported, and others simply may not be compatible. Dont worry though, if SmartDNS doesnt unblock, you can fall back to our standard VPN service! Sounds interesting, right? So how much extra does it cost for this slice of perfection? Simple answer: nothing. Its included FREE as part of our incredible $9.95 per month standard VPN service. SmartDNS is currently in advanced testing, there may be a few loose edges here and there, were tidying them up as quickly as possible though! Activate now by scrolling down to the bottom of the SmartDNS tab at https://www.overplay.net/myaccount.php.We have prepared some simple to follow setup guides for you: Windows 7. OSX. Routers. Roku devices can be enabled by following the Routers guide. iOS and Android guides to follow soon.
