Despite diligent searching, I've not managed to locate an easy diagram / explanation of how to cable up my 5 assorted DSP speakers and SW1600. Is it possible to do this without having cable(s) running between the rears (I am guessing not)?
Could someone patient oblige me please?
Thanks in advance.
G68, G98, HD621, 2xDSP5200, DSP5000C (for now), 2xDSP3100, 2xSW1600, 511. All non-SpeakerLink, Oppo, MF10, Kuro60

Start by setting everything up in the MConfig programme and showing the speaker and comms connections (on the 'view' menu). That will give you all the connections. You'll need to make sure the master speaker is the same in the programme and your wiring - but I'd assume you've done this.
You'll need a cable between the rears. [Edit: unless you follow the advice in posts below!] Regards,
Ed.

Hi,
You can cable up without having a link between the rears; You could use a passive splitter for both the comms and the SPDIF signals or you could use an active repeater for the SPDIF.
Steve.
Edit: I see you have a 511, so you are half way there already.

If you set the one of the rears as master you could then go from say..
Rear Left (master)-Front Left-Centre-Sub-Front Right-Rear Right.
No Darling, I've had it months!

I have a similar (5) DSP config without the sub, and I'm also trying to figure out the cabling.
Right now, the COMMs are going: G68 > Ctr > FL > FR > RR > ?
The Mconfig was showing something much more complicated: Ctr to FR to FL FR to RR FL to RL RR to RL
I do have a 511 that I'm not using, would it help?
