It's a wonder that dealers sell Sooloos then, with all that remote updating. grin

Actually, just look at what you are saying: the current model suits Meridian and suits the dealers. Er, nothing for the customer then?

You're right, of course. 'Cause internet-updating doesn't work for IBM, Apple, Microsoft, Western Digital, Lenovo, Epson, MSI, Logitech just to name some of the companies whose products I use. Why would it work for Meridian? wink

Okay, perhaps that one does drive a coach and horses... blush In saying that, the Sooloos user base will be miniscule compared to the existing processor and DSP user base.

I should perhaps clarify. Delighted that we have new firmware, delighted that product development is clearly thriving, sad though, to see the access to direct support/firmware that this forum has enjoyed for so long, removed in favour of the Dealer model.

I think it does suit Meridian because it's now less resource intensive for them, and suits the dealers as they were left out of the loop previously, with limited chances to re-engage the customer compared to present arrangements.

George / Mr M

I feel safe in saying that we are a very vocal minority and that most just rely on their dealers.

Where it's especially tough is for second hand purchasers who likely don't have a dealer relationship to fall back on.

I will see how I fare with the closest dealer; they are pretty close to my office. The next closest dealers are 200+ miles away.

Cheers,

So that's the problem with the LED's. I do like this Forum with it's non technical people and their inability to do software updates with the words Meridian (but not Sooloos) in front of them laugh

I feel a 1.09 update coming on.... Well on Monday ayway!

But I am grateful to get new firmware honest....
