Click on the Control:10 @ ... and it will bring up the property editor. The audio properties are accessed when you click on "Audio Endpoint". Good luck! Reboot everything after you change this property, esp. if you have Storage separately on the LAN.
Once installed and running it scans your network for all contected Sooloos components and gives you access to some of their configuration which had only been available to Control:10/15 users.
Click on the MC200 and it will bring up the property editor, use this to enable the core. For Audio properties click on "Audio Endpoint".
On a wired network the MC200 successfully takes an IP address on the correct sub net from my router. I can browse to my MC200 on my windows-7 laptop and my OSX Lion iMac using Internet Explorer and Safari browsers. I can allow the MC200 to download the latest firmware. I can successfully download Control Mac or Control:PC from the link on the web page.
Control Mac install gives the "cannot find the core etc " error. Control:PC successfully runs and installs but then continuously tries to find the MC200 without success.
I installed the Sooloos Config Program program from the M website and ran it. It finds the MC200 but reports "nothing to configure".
Changing network cables has no effect. Turning off the firewalls on PC and IMac has no effect. Re-booting the PC, iMac, MC200 and router have no effect. Re-downloading the programs has no effect.
The iPad app finds the MC200 if I tell it which IP address to use.
I understand M can remotely access the MC200 if I supply the MAC address. That would be good . . .
No VPN on either laptop or iMac. Not sure which debug screen you mean ? The only access I have to the MC200 is via the web browser on laptop or iMac, and also via the iPad control app.
Hey, my dealer just e-mailed to help ! 11pm and he's trying to help.
So not "I have exactly the same problem reported in this thread."
If you can connect via Control:Web the core is running and Sooloos Configuration will not help to fix the issue however it does highlight (as it can not detect the MC200) a potential LAN issue.
It sounds like it's more a problem with your LAN switch. What model / version is it?
Can you try powering off all you Sooloos kit, PCs, Macs and the router/switch. Then power up the router first and then the MC200 and then the PC and see if that works.
I have what I think is the same problem: can see it through IE on the PC (XP) but ControlPC and Config programme can't find it.

The XP firewall was already off. But I discovered I have two software firewalls. There is also one within the McAfee AV suite I have, which was switched on.
I haven't switched it off and tested further, but I suspect that is for me the problem.
Perhaps you have a second firewall within your virus software too?
Thanks for all the suggestions, I will try them and report back.
To answer some of the questions:- There is no anti virus software on the iMac. The Win-7 laptop does have Microsoft Security Essentials on it and I will try turning it off. The router is a Belkin Play Max N600 (so the Gigabit version).
M say the "core" must be running because my browser can see the MC200 and Control:PC/Mac is quote "a web browser with added features" so should also be able to see it. They suggest banking programs and "the Mac is not running anything in the background other than firewall programs" that are preventing it working. But I have no banking programs on either machine.
Question (I will also ask M). Regards the words "web browser with added features" , does the INSTALL program for Control:PC/Mac access the MC200 directly on the local subnet (192.168.1.x in my case) or is it actually communicating with the MC200 via the Internet ?
I will try now a different router and disable Microsoft Security Essentials. . .
Security essentials never presented a problem on my Windows PC. However on the Mac I did get prompted several times to allow or deny Sooloos connections, eg: Sooloos helper I can't remember the others.
When I installed my MC200 the core was switched off I could still see it (as I should be able to) with the Sooloos configuration program from a windows XP PC, and then I was able to switch the core on at which point ControlMac could see it also.
You may also want to try connecting all the Sooloos components to a network switch that supports multicast (Sooloos uses multicast to communicate) and have a single cable from there to the router, broadband routers are not always the best switches!
