Does anyone have experience actually using the Sooloos app for the now-discontinued HP TouchPad? How is it? Is it superior to the iOS app? Is it still available for download even?

I'm considering picking up a TouchPad on eBay for the express purpose of using it as my Sooloos remote. I figure ~$200USD for a fully interactive touchscreen remote isn't a bad investment in light of how much the Sooloos system costs. The iOS app is ok but not being able to browse by album art is a downer.

The last report as far as I recall was that it had not yet been released.

There is no explicit evidence that the Sooloos app on the Touchpad was to be a remote for a Sooloos system in the same way as the iPad app, by the way. It was meant for listening to music on the Touchpad, according to what little information was let out.

Hi,

As Nic has suggested, the HP Sooloos app wasn't (isn't?) an app for controlling a Sooloos system.

It was an application to play back the music you had stored on the HP touchpad itself.

So a very different beast to an iPad.

I'm not sure it ever did get released.

Cheers,
Rick
