Hi Rafael

Not sure what you mean? Are you talking about the configuration file or the firmware? There's no firmware available for the 861v6 anywhere other than Meridian, so not sure how you could update that?

Cheers

No, I meant using the Meridian program to update the firmware. They used to release an update every few months on the v4 I believe. So I was wondering if you could do something similar with the 3100s. The revivers are working with a pair setup but not a star setup so I am trying to get to the root of the problem. Again, thanks to Robert W. for all his time and effort in setting up my system using revivers!

Hi Rafael,

Yes the DSP3100s can have there firmware updated, using a PC and the same NULL modem cable that you use with your 861v6.
However, it's not done using Mconfig, there is another Meridian application called Windows Flash Upload Program.

However, before embarking on this you should check what firmware is loaded in your 3100s as it may be the latest version already.

Regards,
Carl

Still having problems with my setup but Robert W. is great as usual in helping me out. Is anyone else having problems with the revivers or is it just me? I think I may be doing something completely stupid that is screwing up my ability to get anything more than stereo sound using the "pair" configuration. As soon as I add the center and switch it to master, the left and right slaves don't work. If I leave the left as master, then it works as a stereo output with the left master but the center goes away. The fact that it works as a "pair" configuration means that it is working but the is something fundamentally flawed with my setup. I was looking at getting used dsp33s for the 7.1 setup but now I am thinking that I should save up all my money and buy only SpeakerLink speakers. Anyway, maybe the new update will help.

Hi Rafael,

Apologies if this has already been asked / answered before.

On the back of the 861v6 there are two banks of RJ45 sockets, looking at them from the back of the unit; you must make sure that the MASTER DSP is plugged in to the right hand bank. Note: Slave DSPs can be plugged into either bank.

Also if you email me [see my profile] your Mconfig .msl file Ill check it out for you.

Regards,
Carl

Hi,

I watch out for it in my inbox.

Did you checkout the RJ45 connections into the back of the 861v6?

Carl
