The comms cable I was using to connect my 861v4 to my 421 (which I use with my clux) doesn't seem to fit the v6. Did something change and does someone sell an adapter to fix this problem. Eventually I want a HD621 but don't have one yet.

No change in comms socket and plug as far as I know. Take a close look at both ... It should be obvious which orientation you need.

No change to comms socket on v6, although on mine orientation of socket was different by 90 degrees reqiring a majar paradigm shift smile

Hi Rafael,

It should be a Meridian C5 cable, see Wiki - Comms Cable Pinouts note it has a DIN5 - 240 (Degree) connection at both ends and is two core cable plus screen.

I suspect with your 861v4 you were using a M5-lead connected in to the DSP speaker slave patch on the v4 and not one of the two comms sockets; this may have worked (by fluke) but its not the correct way to connect Meridian components.

So; source a C5-lead or buy a HD621 and a RJ45 lead so you can enjoy High-Def audio from HDMI sources? Choices, Choices wink

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Carl
