I am confused. Do you use dBpa to rip and then import using Control:Mac? Are you ripping on a Windows:PC with dBpa or are you using the dBpa Mac version beta?
I am a MAC guy with no PC, so I have been waiting for the MAC version of dBpa. Am I missing something here?
Thanks

dBpa for Mac OS X is at beta 7 stage now, you can download it and run it, it works pretty well. I can still run dBpa for Windows through VMWare on my Mac if I have to... I don't use the Sooloos plugin.
I don't use any Windows. I use the dBpoweramp for Mac OS X beta downloaded from here for ripping. Then I use Control:Mac to import the files.
Works a treat. Mind you, I'm not suggesting that dBpa is required to make this work nor am I saying that not using dBpa is the reason you are having trouble. I don't know whether that's the case.
I tried today, for the fourth day in a row, to rip the 3 CDs I bought on Sat; and had no luck with Control:Mac recognizing them.
I then followed the advice above and downloaded the dBpa Beta for MAC. I am a computer idiot. I followed Nick's guide. The download was simple, and few settings later I was ripping away. This might be the easiest piece of software I have ever used.
Although I haven't listened to them yet, less than an hour later they are in the system with the right metadata. I now know what I was missing.
Thanks all.

I have switched from loading over wireless (for one-off CDs, the slower speed is not an issue) to wired and seem to be getting fewer "NOT FOUND" issues.
Yesterday however I got the problem but with Control:PC showing a fully-populated metadata screen. I cancelled and restarted and the problem had gone. Maybe there is a latency issue?
