Check the spec of the Panasonic Freesat blu-ray recorders. They have DLNA servers built in and may have DLNA client and multi format read capabilities too. Some old models were on special a month or so ago.

I've got a Panny BR recorder and they are excellent. As a DLNA client the interface is a bit clunky, although I haven't tested this aspect to any great extent recently. They also don't have a WiFi capability and have to be either hard wired or connected to a bridge if you want to access a NAS of any kind. As Ian suggests, check out the spec and see if will fulfil your needs. Also check out the user threads on AV Forums.

Maz,

You would probably have more luck looking over on AV Science. They have dedicated HTPC threads.

Cheers,

Chris
