Seeking one that is immaculate with packing, manuals, remote etc. Need multi-region for DVD but not for Bluray.

Hi Gianni

They were 589 from CRT modified, or 509 unmodded. Unless you had an exclusively Region A BD collection, you really had to pay that extra 80 to have the BD multi region mod done for use in this country. I think it was DVD region free whether you took the BD mod or not.

I came close to buying one a couple of times, but reckoned it was getting close to a new model. When the BDP93 was released, I bought one straight away from Henry (Now Oppo Europe) assuming that it would also be DVD region free. Alas, because he is now officially Oppo, he can't offer it modded, whilst every other reseller does. Doh!!!

Cheers

George

As a guide these sell for around 320-350. I recently sold my CRT supplied unit including MR MOD for 350. It was in exellent condition will all original packaging etc.

It might be worthwhile looking at the player classifieds on www.avforums.co.uk and/or placing a wanted add there.

Thanks for all the input.

I think I'll stick with my Sony 550 so no longer looking to buy.

I'll be selling my BDP-83SE as soon as I get hold of a hardware-modded BDP-93EU if anyone's interested....
I'll open a new thread as soon as I'm back in Europe & have got everything sorted & the player's packed & ready for sale.

I'd be surprised if it did. No point having the mod on the SE version, also the supplier of that mod was doing so before the SE was announced.

Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Purdeys, Moke, Leica, 'Blad. Only the best.
