Has anyone out there got any ideas on the follwing?
My 'new' 800, which sounds absolutely superb, will not respond to any movement controls from the MSR+. It will respond N Controller to clear, it will switch on and off. The display will change when display is pressed, but it will not start, stop, skip or respond to numbers.
I know I need the exercise but I'd rather not continue getting up and down.
Any thoughts gratefully accepted!

Hi Harry,
Here's a quick check list; have you:
-- Connected up a DIN C5 comms lead to it (sorry but I have to ask)? -- Edited you M-config config and added the 800 into it? -- Checked that the "comms type" is correct in M-config? -- Typed it, and then downloaded this new M-Config in to it?
Then press "clear" when all is in standby to make sure on the your G68 is a controller.
Does the volume display on the 800 keep in sync when you change volume: 1) With the MSR+ 2) From G68?
Give me a call at home, if you wish, I'm in all day today. But don't tell me the F1 race results, I'm about to watch a recording of it.

Hi Carl,
I understand where you're coming from with the questions
Com cable - Yes M Config - Yes and saved to the G68 Comms type ???? - I need to look Typed the 800 as type zero.
I can't save the M-Config on the 800, it falls over on room correction data
I've not looked at the volume display on the 800 - I'll go and have a look.
The pleasures of M-Config - I've go and have a review!
Thanks for the advice!

In M-config, click on the 800 and then select download config. BTW: What version of the 800 did you get? And make sure if it is an 800D you use the 800D source in M-config and not 800. Carl.

Hi Carl,
I believe it's a D. It has HDMI output. It says 800 on the front. Is there somewhere where the D is specified?

OK - here's logic for you.
I'd been using the steps across the top of M-Config, rather than clicking on the 800 and store. It fell over in exactly the same manner - did not receive OK, Store not successful. The 800 would then not read disks or works at all - exactly as last time. Reset the 800 to type 0.
So I have followed the exact path as before.
And guess what!
It now works perfectly.
The pleasures of M-Config.
Thanks for your help Carl!
Enjoy the race!!!

Cool,
If a config load continues to fail try increasing the delay in M-config communication options as this can help.
800v3 Has 3*SPDIF SmartLink but no HDMI, so you must have a v4 spec or 800D. 800v4 Has HDMI and the back panel is made up of individual cards. 800D Same spec as v4 but the back panel is made up of just 2 large cards.
The serial number tells you what version the 800 was when built. If is starts with a 4 you know it is an original v4 or 800D.
Pleased all is now well.
