Hi - can anyone advise if there is much of a sound quality increase when playing normal CDs from a 598 into a 568.2?

The reason for the question is that I have a 598 but am using it with a 568.1. When & if I get my 568 upgraded to .2 status will I see additional benefits in addition to upsampling all channels & DVD-A, ie specifically better CD quality?

Thanks

Paul

The greates benefit will be heard when using one of the two channel DSP modes such as Trifield. The 568.2 will allow you to upsample while maintianing surround extraction. I have heard this and it is worth it. Now you no longer have to decide between the improved textures heard in HS mode vs the added spaciousness of Trifield.
