Hi Jim, Cool. I thought you might have gone down a different route as you asked about the "Break-In" time for G68ADV which is not a current model any more.
A new G68, a good piece of kit as it has both balanced analogue and SpeakerLink if/when you switch to DSPs.
Enjoy, you new kit. Do that use all know how you get on with it.
Regards, Carl Carl, G68ADV does not have balanced. Only the "XX" models. Hi George, I know that but Jose said he bought a "New G68" which does. The G68ADV is not on the Meridian price list any more. Just read Jose's latest posts looks like it is a G68ADV. May be he bought the G68ADV as new boxed unit from dealer stock? Regards, Carl

Hi Everyone, I started to use the Mconfig to configure my G68ADV. I dropped in the G68 ADV and a pop window comes up asking "does the inserted G68 have USB Audio input ? (in addition to the USB maintenance port). I do not know how to answer this question, Yes or No.
Thanks
Jose The later model G68ADVs had two USB ports on them, one maintainance and one for audio. If you can see two USBs you have both. Have a look at Duncan's site for photos. Regards, Carl

Hi again George, You are correct the G68ADV has never had balanced output and I agree with this. However, as the G68ADV is not listed by M anymore and Joes said he had bought a "new G68" (not a new G68ADV) I took this as the NEW G68 as currently listed on M price list as just "G68" (with SpeakerLink and balanced outputs). What I think Joes has done is bought a new (ie. not used) G68ADV from dealer stock (not from Meridian factory) as they don't make / sell this model any more. But enough of this speculation, it's well past beer time Regards, Carl

Sorry for the confusion. I purchased a new G68 which is shown on the Meridian website. Again, I'm new to Meridian. I thought the G68 is the same As G68ADV

Hi Jose,
Thanks for the clarification on which version your have.
I have had M kit for 20 years and I still get things mixed up, so many options, versions and revisions. The key is to take time out to understand what you have so you can get the very best from it; and believe me it is worth it.
I have just run up M-config (v3.07) when you select G68 Family and drop it in to the setup window it pops up a list for you to select which version of G68 you have.
For the latest SpeakerLink version you should select G68 SL.
Hope this helps.
Regards, Carl

Yes the new latest and greatest version of the G68 is called the "G68-SL" in M-config, once dragged in to the M-config setup window you will see it has both SpeakerLink and Balanced outputs detailed. After the G68-SL you should add speakers, for you this will be (analogue passive), it will then prompt if you want to add in amps, select the best fit from this list. M-config will then drawing in and configure the conections to the G68-SL.
Top Tip: You should add in all your kit both Meridian and Non-Meridian.

Thanks Jose Sorry Jose, With you being new to this forum I should have told you how to get to Duncan's Site. As per Frank's post above, just scroll down to the bottom of any HH forum page and you will see the link towards the right hand side. Note: The other useful links too. Once one Duncan's site click "G Series" and then "G68 Surround Controller". Then on the right hand side you find a link to the photo(s) you are looking for. You can also get a photo of the back pannel from Meridian's site (but the ones on Duncan's site are more detailed). G68 (SL) Product Info Just click this link and then click on small photo of the back pannel and it will be re-displayed as a larger image. Regards, Carl
