After I installed an HD621 with a G68 several months ago, zone 2 only outputs what was output in zone 1. There is a new configuration program on Meridian's site and the notes claim to fix zone 2 problems. However, I have downloaded it and seem to be experiencing the same problem as before, ie zone 2 only outputs what is output in zone 1. Has anyone else with this issue tried the new configuration program and had any success with it?

Is this with MC input? I believe that the G68 has only 3 'digital receivers', so if all are utilised with input from HD621, then there will be no spare for a zone to utilise and thus it will only do a copy zone.

If it is with 2 channel via HD621, may be worth looking at the pre-set for the input to see if it is using multi channel input or just a single channel pair - the latter will have free 'digital receivers' that the zones can then use.

Thanks for the thoughts.

When I use a 2 channel CD player, it only plays zone 2 when it is also playing in zone 1. If I change zone 1 to an input from the HD621 and direct zone 2 to continue playing the CD player, the CD player no longer outputs to zone 2. I notice in config, only zone 3 has an option to set an input other than last, so I tried switching the input for the CD to zone 3 and using that output to the other room but the same thing happens. Perhaps what you are saying is if HD621 is in use, no other zone input can play. However, this doesn't seem right to me -- even before HD621, Meridian DVD players would output multiple channels to a g68 and I'ld be surprised if zone 2 never worked in that situation.
