Do you feel there are any issues with front three integration?

I experienced a small M30 as a center for the DSP3100 mains and it was OK. But replacing it with M60C made a world of differences. You should get a bigger center channel Imho.

I have M33c and M60 mains and it works perfectly in my room. Just a Wall of sound.

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Hmm.... well, it'll work but it's certainly not the ideal partner. DSP33's really belong to the 500/5000 generation of products and as such do have a different timbre to the 5200's which are derived from 8000/G series. It depends how much space and budget you've got. A single DSP3100 would work better if you can't get a 5200C in the system. Maybe even a 5000C Mk2?
If the 33 is the only solution just spend a little while tweaking. Maybe even drop the centre for music?

Gerry

Had a few demos with a DSP3100C and DSP7200 mains and was amazed at how the whole front intergrated so well, made me think how good the smallest Meridian DSP are!!

Current system: Meridian 861v6, HD621, DSP5200SE, Pioneer BDP-LX91, Pioneer Kuro KRP600A.
Nagra CDC used as CD transport, Chord Sarum digital coaxial lead

Future upgrades needed: Nagra Classic PSU, DSP5200SE HC, DSP3200 for rears or stick to stereo and get DSP 7200SEs!!

I'm currently running 5200s with a DSP33 in the middle; now I'm seriously challanged for space to put the centre in the current house (expensive upgrade required) so its in a far from optimal position.

My observations would echo Gerry's, and as a result, I never use the 33 for music; I just find the character of the 33 too different to be satisfied with listening with Trifield.

I'd be really interested to see if the 3100 would be a worthwhile upgrade...

Dave.

DSP33's don't belong with any generation, except perhaps the wall speakers with the same guts.

If you think listening to music is fun, try learning an instrument.
