So what exactly is a G61r compared to a G61?
Meridian: 861v4 + ID40, HD621, Ultra DAC, 857, 558.2
Speakers: B&W 802D, B&W HTM2D, 2-15" custom subwoofers, B&W LM1
Other: Oppo BDP-83, Mac Mini Roon Core.

G61r Has Room Correction.
No 18 in the Hall of fame  I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

So what exactly is a G61r compared to a G61? It has room correction incorporated. Apart from that I think they are identical, but a browse of their respective datasheets on the Meridian Info site should tell all. Cheers George

So what exactly is a G61r compared to a G61? Functional, they are identical apart from room correction. Also, I think the G61 doesn't have the USB audio input (no big deal). Hard to say if Meridian played around with the internal gubbins though.
