The only question I can come up with for now is when will we see 861 version 3 support for more than 8 channels? Will the move to 12 channel support include height channels when it comes out?

Almost forgot. Will Meridian move to a newer MPEG decoder like the Ziva-5 and if so when? Also where are they on getting the chroma bug fixed (wouldn't a change to the newer MPEG decoder accomplish that)?

Any news regarding upgrade possibilities for 596 and also plans for 561.Has it really hit the wall ??It seems to be the forgotten Meridian component yet it once promised so much.Also ,any ideas for the future of 861 or other 800series components planned ?
And whatever happened to the Room Correction card ??

More than 8-channels is most likely 4.0. At least that was the word when they showed the roadmap at CES a couple of years ago.

I will ask.

Most likely need Ziva 5 for chroma fix. As a note, Samsung is the largest and first customer for Ziva 5. They shipped one player with early adopter ziva 5 code. I will ask.

How about more documention how on how systems work and how best to set them up. Similar to what Lexicon offers. I think (and many others think) it's a rather large hole in the Meridian solution.

Internal upsampling for DD and DTS so that you aren't "stuck" using a non-Meridian DVD player to get upsampling?

How long after an industry standardized output for DVD-Audio will it take to get one integrated into the product lineup?

Any plans for SACD support (even via DSD --> PCM conversion)?

I doubt they will upsample DD or DTS internally. It takes away from the load balancing.

Here is some question nobody cares about, but strangely, Meridian is still chugging away at:
Ambisonic flag in DVD-A?
Ambisonic 2nd order decoding/roadmap?
Multiple height channel derived from B, G or G+2 format.
