Hi, I have installed the common installer for a 2004 CD-rom. In this version, the configuration program has an option called 'Fetch (anonymous)'. I can connect the pc to my G68 without problem and made the configuration of the G68. When i tried to download the lastest version of Meridian software with the common installer, it looks like i have a problem with my firewall and it can't check the avalaible software updates. (even if i turn down the firewall) I have the message 'Connecting to Meridian web site' and 'Checking for installable components' (20%) But it stay there  So i have run the common installer from an other PC and it worked. After that, i have copied the different folders under Program files to the previous pc. And with the latest version of the configuration program, this option in now called 'Fetch'. Using it, i am unable to have a connection. It says 'unrecognized product' But the option called 'identify' is working well and identify my G68 correctly (firmware 1.11) Help ! Serge.

Oops. It was 'from' not 'for'.
But in fact, i believe i have download the 'common installer' from Meridian web site.

Do you still have a problem?
You need to get the latest software from the Meridian Site.
If this is a problem, (stuck @ 20%), try deleting your temporary web files, any Meridian cookies, you`re web cache etc.
If that does not work, It could be your internet browser security settings. Try adding the Meridian site as a "trusted site".
There was someone one here a few months ago with a similar problem, but I don't recall a post listing if he sorted it or not.

If you are still having problems try changing your COM setting from COM1. Start with COM2 and go up to say 5. I find on my laptop I am using either COM3 or COM5 depending which USB port I am plugged into.

You could try lowering the baud rate?
Sooloos, Roon, G series (with LPS upgrade), 800 series (with LPS upgrade), HD621, AC200, Prime and PS, DSPs old and new.

Good news ! The update to the last 1.44 firmware have solved the connection problem  Serge.
