Great sound quality, but not particularly upbeat music wink

I may put Gravedigger on infinite repeat for our halloween party.

Shawn:

Nice touch of the macabre!

Too bad I won't in front of the system.

Are the two meant to be played back to back? The Gravedigger prepares for us to Lie in Our Graves?

Looks like a good candidate for modification for those of us who require and HDMI switching + digital out. If the Meridan Box has only one HDMI output, I may seriously look at this option.

Cliff

Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

This looks really promising and with a mod this should be a great solution for their asking price. For an extra $25 you get 4 HDMI cables thrown in...not bad or put this towards a mod instead wink

Interesting to see what the mod outcome for this will be.

Cheers

I asked Octava about the availability of the HDSA71, and they answered:
Quote:
The product is now available and we will be getting the products to our dealer in Holland very soon.

That's faster than expected, because last time they answered that the first units would be ready in december ...

Wonder if the analog outs would be better than those on my Panny BDP 30.

I sent Octava an e-mail alst night with the following reply:

Quote:
Good day Mark,

We currently have no Australian Distbriutor.
However, we do and have shipped to Australia.

We ship via USPS International Express and postage is $35

We have limited number of this item remaining. As we speak, we have them in stock for shipping.

Hope this helps.
Thank You,

This will only be of interest and worhtwhile if Shawn is able to mod this. As good as this product sounds, I'd want to get a product that retrofits into my 568.2mm properly the first time AND with the features that I'd want or want to expect to marry with an M product.

Cheers
Pasadena.
