Here is something quite special from Jennifer Warnes.
"Another Time, Another Place", a new release from 71 year old JW.
It is beautiful and you would never believe her age if you did not know.

Great arrangements, with wonderful contributions from supporting musicians and vocalists.

Take time to listen, highly recommended, available on Tidal.

Re Jennifer Warnes-search for the album by name. It did not come up under Jennifer Warnes in the US just now. I believe it disappeared from the Tidal Americana new releases page since last Friday. I agree it is an excellent recording.

Search Tidal by artist "Jennifer Warnes", the album, Another Time, Another Place, still available in UK.

Here is a recommendation for Manchester band "The Slow Show"

Two albums, "Dream Darling" and "White Water", both are great productions and excellent recordings.

Vocals remind me a bit of Sean Rowe combined with Elbow.

Both albums available on Tidal, and certainly candidates for MQA white glove treatment in the future. Here's hoping Hector!

Enjoy

Samantha Fish "I Put a Spell on You" cover plus her own albums - powerful blues, mostly on TIDAL.

Hector, you will like this if you haven't heard her before.

“No Depression” magazine(online)-just released capsule reviews of the “10 Best Roots Records of 2018(“So Far”).I only have 3 (Kacy Musgraves, Gretchen Peters and Mary Gauthier). I notice several missing I was sure would make such a cut. On that basis, I can’t wait to hear the 7 I don’t have.

Just listened to that on Tidal - excellent! If you like that you should try Connie Lush - she's brill, especially live.

Had a listen to Samantha Fish - I put a spell on you, very good although I never really got past this version.

Always learn from the mistakes of others. You can never live long enough to make them all yourself.

Red Dirt Skinners

Album: Under Utopian Skies

This UK Duo (Sarah and Rob) have recently emigrated to Canada and the above album will be available on general release shortly.

Well worth a listen as it includes a fantastic (approved by PF) version of Comfortably Numb all 8 minutes and 43 seconds of this iconic interpretation / composition.

Sarah brings great value to the party on Soprano Sax and vocals, without compromising the integrity of the original, whilst Rob on acoustic guitar and vocals makes this a real pleasure to listen to. Different but great listening.

This album pays a great tribute to Pink Floyd with track 6 being instrumental, "An Isolated Episode of Transient Global Amnesia" and the album is IMHO a great achievement.

Look for this it will not disappoint.
