Play.com have the HD-E1 in their sale for 269 shipped if anyone is interested. Must admit that I am tempted for that price, but I will resist (what with still not having found a good HDTV and all).

Similar position myself , daniel. Had hoped to be watching HD for Christmas but 3 months of delays to the XE1 put paid to that . Now waiting for the new Samsung panels to become available ( M86/M87 etc)

At the moment I'm limited to Component or S-Video tho at least I have the choice of DolbyTrue or Plus to keep me interested while I wait.

If you do decide to jump at that pretty reasonable price I may have a duplicate disc or two to get you going smile

Hey guys, a bit OT, but there's a new Milky Bar Kid in town - my first child, a son, was born today and I'm sharing the news with everybody who will listen laugh Of course, keeping slightly on topic, I hope he will grow up to be a film lover and a Meridian lover but he could just as likely grow up to be a low bit-rate YouTube lover and a Bose lover! :Z laugh

Beautiful thing - congratulations Mark - By the time Mini-Milky-Bar-Kid grows up YouTube will be in HighDef, Meridian will have an F80Z that will put Bose out of business and Ferrari will be Fuel Cell...

Best Wishes to the new family....

Congratulations.

You will probably find that sound treatment in the cave will have another advantage too.

Many congratulations. Believe me, you will have plenty more to do in your self-unemployment!
