Hello all,

I am attempting to remove my center speaker which is the master and reassign the left speaker to take over that job.
I only have the MSR remote with the white lettering (not the blue lettered one that includes TYPE).
I hope I am providing enough info for someone to help me.

Thank you in advance.

You can Type the speaker with the MSR you have. Typing is carried out by pointing the remote at the front of the speaker and holding the appropriate numeric button down on the remote while turning the speaker on from the back panel switch. 1 is for stereo and 5 is for most surround situations. You then store the settings by switching off and back on. That speaker should then display as master by default. Repeat the procedure for the slave speaker. Setting right, left, slave or master is carried out using the navigation and the play button. If you get stuck, contact me and I can help you off line.

Hi Bruce,

I have started the process with your instructions. I can change each speaker from L, LS or r, rS but I can not see how to make one of the two the master. If leaving the left speaker as L and making the right one rS as slave did not make the left one master. I think I’m almost there.

Regards,

John

Hi John,

The PLAY button on the remote toggles between Master / Slave.

If the RED light is on then the speaker is the Master, if it's off then it is a Slave.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Steve
