Hello everyone,

I’m looking for a pair of DSP5000’s or possibly a pair of DSP5500’s...

Ideally they would be smiley face versions (.2), any colour except rosewood, particularly interested if you have an unusual colour (white, silver etc.) I would also much prefer a pair that have been serviced and have new(ish) tweeters from the last few years or so.

I am willing to travel almost anywhere in mainland UK.

Thanks
Guy

Hi

I noticed that there are 2 pairs of 5500s (24/96) on eBay, if you are interested - I have no connection to the seller.

Cheers

Jon

Hi all,

I've moved out the general discussion to its own topic 5000’s vs 5500's, let's keep the Restaurant strictly for trading.

Carl

After some consideration and research I have decided that a pair of DSP5000’s would be most suitable for my situation so again, if anyone knows of a pair available I would be interested. I will consider any version and colour too.

Thanks all.

I have a pair black ash 18bit boxed in original packaging. Not used for 3 years so I am ready to let them go. With MSR, proper SPDIF cables and the Monarchy to allow 24 bit. Should still be in really good state, they were when boxed.
Cheers!

Just as a side note, 18 bit DSPs will play quite happily with a 24 bit input signal. It's just that it can't be above 48k.

Cheers

George
