An embarrassingly basic question coming from somebody that's been around as long as I have but I can't seem to answer my own question.

I've recently taken to turning the display off my M kit whilst watching films for an even darker environment but although the DSPs go blank, the G61 stays the same. How do I get it to lose the display too? I even resorted to the manual but it isn't mentioned in there.

Out of interest, I seem to remember back in my 568 days that when I hit "Display" on the MSR, the display on the DSPs would cycle through 4 fields; Volume, Frequency, a -Db one & Blank (I think). Now I only get 2 fields; Volume & Blank. That's on the DSPs; the G61 stays the same irrespective of MSR presses.

What about the display button on the front panel? I don’t believe it can be done via the MSR+ but I may be mistaken.

From memory display changes the display on the source (G98 cycles through various iterations of time played vs time left and PCM format etc.)

Function and display together changes the display setting on the processor and final choice is full black out.

Hope that's remembered right and it helps.

Good grief; I said it was embarrassing. blush

Ratbert is quite right, there is a "Display" button on the front panel. I'd done a scan of my programmable buttons & decided it had been configured without a Display function. It's the small one above the On / Off, for others similarly shackled.

And Richard W is also right; Function + Display on the MSR does indeed scroll through the display fields on the G61R that I remember from my 568 days, including blank, so thanks to both of you.
