Very interesting - DSP phono makes a whole lot of sense (what I really need is ANOTHER phono stage - the flock is at a dozen or so right now
The EE and friend who kept trying to get to a good sounding streaming solution (and repeatedly was disappointed for a decade or more.) called me a few years back and said he thought he had it. So I stopped in and listened to Linn's streaming online demo (7-8 years ago?) this allowed you to listen to the same music at different bit depths/sampling rates. I was struck (and frankly sorta depressed) by how much better the first bump up to 24/48 sounded compared to 16/44 CD rate and 24/96 seemed at least as lacking in digitoises as a well reproduced LP (and of course NO noise).
Since then 24/96 has seemed like a good enough goal for me - the very pleasant and complete surprise since I acquired the DSP5000's has been what a remarkable - outright pleasant - experience listening to well recorded CD's is thru these digital speakers! And thru either the 221 or the Mytek stereo 96 I'm able to get quality analog thru these really exceptional DSP speakers.
