Hi all. I am trying to get a "new" TwinStore up and running. The problems are as follows:

It turns on just fine and I can see it via MAC address WITHOUT hard drives installed. When I install 2 hard drives that I have previously used in a different TwinStore, it starts beeping with a long (or 2 beeps with a peak in between) and 2 short beeps. The waveform looks like:
[_________^________ _________ _______]

The "^" is either start of a new beep or a peak in the middle of a long beep.

I left it running for nearly 24 hours and no change. When I turn it off, there was a very long solid beep (15-20 seconds). I tried the old hard drives in my current TwinStore and heard the same beep pattern. Current TwinStore and library are fine once I reboot.

Questions:

1-Where can I find a guide to tell me what the beeps signifiy??? I've looked quite a while and can't find the answer.

2-Can existing HDs be swapped between TwinStores or will a different TwinStore automatically format the unrecognized drives? I do not want to try my existing drives in the "new" TwinStore as I fear it will wipe out my current library.

3-I am assuming my old drives may have become corrupt and am resigned to the fact that I've probably lost the library they contained. Not a problem since it is also included in my current library.

Thanks.

Yes, I replaced the battery. Also forgot to add that the TwinStores disappears from the network while the drives are installed and it is beeping at me.

Is anyone able to send me a link to an explanation of the TwinStore beeps?

All is now good. Thanks to MrTechGuy.

I ended up taking the drives in and found they had bad partitions.

The 3rd one I tried also was bad. 2 completely new HDs and the TwinStores took 5 minutes to show back up on the network with the correct storage.

Very strange they were bad because the 2 main HDs went straight from one TwinStore into this one. Hadn’t een used in 6 months as I had upgraded to larger drives but who knows. All good now.
