I have a pair of DSP5200 speakers where the the curved metal back panel is pulling away the top of the speaker (where most of the curve exists) leaving a small gap between speaker and metal panel. It appears that the screw inserts in the wood have either pulled out or have broken from the wood. It has occurred on both speakers that I have.

I would provide a picture but do not know how to attach it to the post.

Has anyone had this issue or repaired it?

Best,
gwho

No one else needs to respond, I figured it out.

Apparently, Meridian attaches the inserts into a small wood block that is glued within a slot in the cabinet. The curved metal plate is under tension with the screws tightened which ultimately ripped the blocks from the cabinet. I need to re-glue the wood blocks back into the cabinet.

They really shouldn't be under that much tension. Do the cabinet serial numbers match the electronic serial numbers?

The back panels appear to be trying to straighten out slightly. Thus, applying tension on the bolts on the top part of the plate where it is most curved.

I checked the cabinet and electronics serial #'s for both speakers. They are all the same except one speaker ends in A and the other speaker ends in B.
